When I learned I had cancer, I was frightened for my life. I have a young daughter and have many years left to raise her and be in her life, so this was my main concern. I did what the Doctors told me and took on the fight with hope and faith and in the process it was hard and painful at times but I knew that it was part of the process of healing and I embraced it with gratitude most the time (LOL). In this journey of treatment I am now bald and get all kinds of reactions from folks. Either they look down or avoid eye contact or they are really nice and have compassion , the compassion I eat up… 🙂 The fear I see in some folks I have been able to process with help from caring people who give back , like the girls and team from Turning Heads Project. They helped me so much the morning of my photo shoot and made me feel beautiful. Thank you so much, Love Yoyo
