Wow….what a series of blows. First I found the lump, then the surgery where I was assured it was Stage 1 and probably just radiation, then Oops we meant Stage 3 with Chemo, radiation and drugs. After the initial shock wore off, I realized I could do this…it would interfere with my winter plans but I could do it! Luckily my sister Kathy and daughter Jodi were with me every step of the way…helping with insurance, appointments, prescriptions etc. so I could just concentrate on choosing the appropriate wig for the occasion. How fortunate am I to have so many friends and family members who support me! And that’s how it’s been until my sister found the Turning Heads project and I had my entire family around me for hours of hilarity and tears while we posed and laughed and cried. At the end I realized “I forgot I was bald!”
