Writing this paragraph was a fun and challenging part of this journey, but writing my emotions down it is very different than feeling emotions. With that said…..For the first time in my life, at age 57, I had a medical problem. Not just a little medical problem but a BIG medical problem.

I was diagnosed with stage 3A breast cancer.I was completely overwhelmed, devastated and scared. My life changed in that second. I immediately retired after 37 years of home childcare and went to choosing medical care, surgeons and oncologist. My family and friends prayed for me, supported and loved me along my new path. I feel I have accomplished many hurdles along this path from biopsy, surgery, chemo and now radiation and hormone therapy.

Thank you Ladies so much for your time and encouragement on Monday. My daughter and I had fun taking pictures with your wonderful team.

Because of my strong faith, amazing family and supportive friends I am at peace with my breast cancer.
