To Turning Heads:

First of all I want to thank you for the most incredible day of pampering. Jane and Olga were terrific. I have never had my makeup done professionally. The air brushed make made me feel so speciql. Olga just made it fun and enjoyable. Stacy, before you arrived to do your part we were talking about you. We all agreed that you put your heart and soul into this project. My family too enjoyed the day. I can not forget my husband laughing and enjoying being with our girls. That speaks to the skills that you all have to put others at ease. The time that all 3 of you invested was far beyond my expectations. I truly am blessed.

This is the third time that I lost my hair. I used to tell my husband that a strange bald woman had moved in with us. I used to see her as I walked by the mirrors in our home. I wanted for her to move out. Now that same lady is back but now I see her in a different light. Now I thank God for my life and thank Him that I can get that head off of my pillow. This time there are fewer side effects. So much to be thankful for. We are blessed to be here in this valley for excellent cancer treatment.

I once had an oncologist who told me to remember that I have a life and just happen to have to deal with cancer. From that my thoughts drifted to this. ” We are all going to die. So the question is not how and when we are going to die but how we are going to live.” I once said that it might be a better place for us to live in if all had the mental appreciation like those who have traveled this journey. Every day is precious and every moment is a gift from God. Love becomes a way of life if you let it.

My final thought is one that I got from a sign in our daughter’s kitchen. “I don’t know what the future holds but I know who holds the future.” What more could we ask?

Thanks for one of the most pampered day of my life. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
